Temporary Restaurant “Delvaux Secret Garden” Also Opens

Founded in 1829, Delvaux is the world’s oldest fine leather goods maison. In 1908, it filed the world's first design patent for a leather handbag, earning it the title of the originator of the modern handbag. For nearly 200 years, the maison has etched its name in history by producing high-quality products.
Delvaux will open a limited-time pop-up store on the first floor of Omotesando Hills, commencing June 4.
The boutique will feature the Magritte collection, which deepens the maison's contribution to art. This collection, inspired by the world of Belgian painter René Magritte, is filled with Surrealist spirit, trompe-l'œil effects, and unpredictable, humorous twists, serving as a heartfelt homage to Belgium's greatest artist.
To commemorate this pop-up store, Delvaux introduces a limited-edition Omotesando Hills pop-up store exclusive color for L’Humour, one of the maison's signature bags. This version features ivory with black lettering, embodying the Surrealist spirit with the phrase 'This is not a Delvaux.' Also appearing are the popular Pin D Multifonctions in black and ivory, and the maison's iconic Brillant and Tempête bags in limited colors.
The spatial design for this special pop-up store is by Jean Corona, a designer who has consistently led the fashion world. A French designer who studied fashion at the Paris Chambre Syndicale de la Couture and enjoyed cult popularity in Paris in the 90s.
Jean Corona commented, “Delvaux and Magritte are arriving at Omotesando Hills, Tokyo’s most avant-garde street. We wanted to offer customers an unpredictable, new experience in this temporary space where different worlds connect through the codes of Surrealism. This is an invitation to a journey.”
We invite you to enjoy this special space, featuring Delvaux's savoir-faire and Belgian spirit with a collection of limited-quantity items.
In conjunction with this pop-up store, “Delvaux Secret Garden” will be held for a limited time on the outdoor terrace of Tokyo Edition Toranomon, located 140 meters above ground and described as an “aerial garden.”
At Delvaux Secret Garden, guests can enjoy a special afternoon tea and dinner course conceived by world-renowned Michelin-starred chef Tom Aikens, who will also be the partner chef for the specialty restaurant opening at the hotel this summer. The offerings weave together Delvaux's exceptional savoir-faire with the Belgian identity of the maison's origins and its history since its founding in 1829.
Why not indulge in exquisite cuisine in this beautiful, serene oasis atop a Tokyo skyscraper?
