"MY COACH WORLD" Launched to Explore the Coach Universe
A small workshop in a loft in Manhattan, New York. Seventy years ago, Coach's history began when just six skilled leather artisans, possessing traditional techniques, introduced men's leather goods to the world.
Later, inspired by the rich texture, deep luster, feel, and durability of well-used baseball gloves, the "Glove Tan Leather" was created and became a huge hit. It remains popular today as the brand's icon.
The "Bleecker Legacy" collection, from which the 70th anniversary items are released, is named after "Bleecker Street," a fashionable shopping street where leather workshops once lined the blocks and where Coach's men's store opened last year.
The anniversary bags released are the popular crossbody types, the "Courier Bag" and the "Field Bag." Both feature the iconic "Glove Tan Leather," recreated with modern techniques, and use "Retro Glove Tan Leather," which highlights the natural, deep luster of the leather itself. Furthermore, they are printed with the "Ticking Stripe," an archival pattern used for centuries as lining for Coach bags and small leather goods. These items, embodying the fusion of tradition cultivated over 70 years and contemporary technology, are truly befitting of Coach's anniversary.
