Moncler was born in France in 1952. The warm and lightweight premium down from Moncler, which gained popularity in Europe, now has many fans in Japan as well. In 2006, the company launched "Moncler Gamme Rouge," an elegant first line for women. In 2008, they welcomed Thom Browne as designer for the men's first line, "Moncler Gamme Bleu," and have continued to release ambitious collections one after another.
The "Moncler Aoyama" flagship store, the first in Japan, will offer the complete lineup, including luxurious main collections for men and women. In addition to the aforementioned "Gamme Bleu" and "Gamme Rouge," the store will feature "Moncler S," an elegant and edgy line by Chitose Abe, the designer of "sacai," and "Moncler V," created with Hiroki Nakamura, director of "VISVIM," as designer. The "Grenoble" line, launched in 2010, will also be available, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the world of Moncler.
Exclusive down jackets for both men and women will be released at the Aoyama store (scheduled for phased release from mid-September onwards). While the variations are abundant, they are expected to sell out quickly, so be sure to check them out early. Once you find your favorite down wear, you'll surely look forward to the cold winter!
