A Powerful Collaboration Yields the Ultimate Bag!
Hysteric Glamour Exclusive Briefing One-Shoulder Bag!
While countless brands rise and fall, Hysteric Glamour, a leading Japanese brand, celebrated its 25th anniversary last year. Established in 1984 with a womenswear line, it has since grown to encompass eight distinct labels. From its debut, designer Nobuhiko Kitamura's pop and humorous designs made a powerful impact, and their allure remains undiminished. The fact that 'Hysteric Glamour' is a shared language, understood as something cool across two generations, is truly unique to the brand.

Wearing it short and in front: The stylish adult approach
The secret to its popularity lies in the meticulous attention to detail by designer Nobuhiko Kitamura, a devoted admirer of subculture. For instance, Hysteric Glamour Men's masterfully blends American subcultures of the 1960s and '70s—such as comics, pornography, and muscle cars—with military and rock influences, creating a unique and unparalleled world. Furthermore, it showcases a man's characteristic attachment to objects through its choice of materials, stitching, processing, details, and motif selection. Even its heavy, niche aesthetic is elevated to a casual style with Hysteric Glamour's distinctive sensibility. This is why it garners support from a wide audience, from discerning adults to subculture novices.
Among Hysteric Glamour's signature items is this one-shoulder bag, specially ordered from Briefing. As you know, Briefing was developed in 1998 as a luggage label pursuing true "militarism" in compliance with mil-spec standards, offering exceptional functional beauty. Its production system—American-made based on Japanese planning—stimulates the male sensibility and has consistently earned a reputation for "durable functional beauty." The collection masterfully fuses more than sufficient functionality with designs suitable for town use. A collaboration between Hysteric Glamour and Briefing is something you absolutely shouldn't miss.
"Originally, it's based on Hysteric Glamour's popular one-shoulder bag. We provided the sample and left the webbing to them. They made Hysteric Glamour's shape more like Briefing's," says Director and Merchandiser Kenji Yamagami. For the material, instead of Briefing's standard ballistic nylon, they adopted the lighter 500-denier military Cordura nylon. This balance is exquisite. The construction is robust and intricate, true to Briefing's style down to the finest details.
"We wanted to keep it compact. That's why it's a one-shoulder bag. The black tag is placed centrally so it can be worn with a jacket. Adults should wear the strap short. And we recommend wearing it in front, with the body facing forward rather than backward. This is how adults wear it. Actually, the padding is also designed for front-carrying," Yamagami explains.
Stylish and high-quality, with high rarity value, this is sure to be a massive hit. We recommend acting fast. Available in three colors: camouflage, black, and gray. The craftsmanship is so superb, you'll want to collect all the colors. Each costs ¥29,400.
