On January 24th, the MONSIEUR LACENAIRE 2015-16 Autumn/Winter collection show was held in Paris. The venue, the Théâtre du Gymnase, boasts a 200-year history, and Monsieur Lacenaire's unique presentation was already generating buzz.

Collection Theme: "La Course des Débrouillards"

Regarding this 2015-16 Autumn/Winter collection, designer Garance Broca explains, "The inspiration comes from the fundamental trials of human endurance and perseverance. The theme is triathlon, but it has been reinterpreted by Monsieur Lacenaire."

It is said that triathlon first originated in France in the 1920s, known at the time by the name "La Course des Débrouillards."

The triathlons of that era were more festive than what we know today. On Sundays, men would gather and compete on the banks of the Marne river in France. Competitors engaged in canoeing, running, and cycling in a spirit of camaraderie.

The 2015-16 Autumn/Winter collection expresses the joy of camaraderie, gratitude for the leisurely flow of time, and the importance of time spent with friends. Knits with Monsieur Lacenaire's signature playful touch and classic-based coordinates feel refreshingly new.
