Timeless Design, Unwavering Orthodoxy
The Balmoral, a popular model steeped in traditional British style. This classic semi-brogue Oxford shoe, known for its "balmoral" construction, features a distinctive side design that lives up to its name.
Its design has been refined through British history, originating from a design conceived in the mid-19th century by Prince Albert, consort to Queen Victoria, at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
The Balmoral's decorative cap toe is said to have become a widespread detail in the 1920s, and historically, the black version without a medallion was considered the most formal.
This John Lobb Balmoral is crafted on the popular 8695 last, offering a sleek, simple yet substantial impression. Its distinctive medallion also adds charm, beautifully complementing even dress-casual ensembles.
