Penzance, a port town on the Cornish peninsula in southwest England, a region rich in natural beauty. The town's name is said to derive from the ancient Cornish words Pen (headland) and Saint, meaning "holy headland." John Lobb's "PENZANCE," named after this locale, is a plain-toe shoe crafted from premium cashmere suede, treated by artisans to achieve a refined texture.
The last (shoe tree) is the popular No. 1105, also used for models like the "Ascot." The tonal stitching and laces create a clean and elegant appearance.
The luxury of pursuing and wearing meticulously selected suede in the spring and summer. The "PENZANCE," with its short, smooth nap offering a soft and comfortable fit, pairs beautifully with casual cotton trousers or resort-ready linen shorts.

BRAND HISTORY
Founded in 1858, John Lobb is a premier men's shoemaker underpinned by a long tradition and the assured craftsmanship of its artisans. The brand enriches the lives and spirits of its wearers by offering sophisticated products of the highest quality, imbued with an air of distinction, and complemented by fitting service.
The founder, John Lobb, was born in Cornwall, England, in 1829. After apprenticing as a shoemaker in London, he founded 'John Lobb' in 1858 in Australia, then under British rule and experiencing a gold rush. He achieved business success by creating custom-made shoes for miners.
Returning to London, John Lobb further honed his skills, perfecting a unique style of classic British footwear with an air of elegance. After receiving a gold medal at the 1862 London International Exhibition, he presented a pair of boots to the then Prince of Wales (Edward VII) the following October, earning him the appointment of Royal Warrant holder as a shoemaker to the British Crown.
In 1866, the first store opened at 296 Regent Street, London. Following its success in London, the first Paris store opened in 1901. In 1976, the brand became part of the Hermès group, and in addition to bespoke services, began producing ready-to-wear shoes from 1981.
Today, John Lobb products are sold in over 20 countries worldwide, including 13 directly managed stores in locations such as Jermyn Street in London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, New York, and Paris.
