My Father and I
June 20th is Father's Day. Why is it that Father's Day always feels a little less prominent than Mother's Day in May?
At ISETAN Men's Residence, we've created a photo collage with the theme "My Father and I." Many who submitted photos commented, "There are so few pictures with my dad!" It seems fathers are always the ones behind the camera.
My Hero, DAD! On display until Sunday, June 20th
This year, the Men's Building is adorned with stars across various floors, centered around the theme "Observing the Great Universe with Father and Child."
Recently, a news program featured the planetarium at the Kawasaki City Museum of Science, which is temporarily closing. Perhaps starting a conversation between father and child, inspired by the night sky, could be a wonderful way to connect, much like Ikuo Kawahara, who manually operates the equipment and provides live commentary.

Vixen's astronomical telescopes are exquisite pieces that boast exceptional rigidity and stability, prioritizing ease of use and performance. They eliminate various operational stresses, making the preparation for stargazing remarkably simple. These telescopes are recommended for both beginners and seasoned astronomers. They are currently exhibited in the Men's Building's front window, on the 1st, 6th, and 8th floors.
*The other day, I enjoyed stargazing from the rooftop of the Men's Building after closing, and was surprised by how many stars are visible even in the city sky!

ISETAN Vintage Fair Until Wednesday, June 30th

The "ISETAN Eco Life Campaign" proposes an eco-conscious lifestyle in harmony with nature, emphasizing environmental consideration.
This time, ISETAN Men's Residence is showcasing vintage items. We feature "Clam Jam Chest," a remake brand that deconstructs and recuts vintage jackets to create entirely new "art pieces," such as those for small dogs.
We also present "Very Vintage" sunglasses from the 1980s collection of renowned sunglasses collector Lucio Stramare.
Additionally, we are exhibiting American furniture from the 1950s to 1970s, as well as cameras from brands like Leica and Rollei.
During our recent American Fair, we featured vintage American furniture.
One customer, upon seeing the furniture, declared, "This is fate," and purchased a large shelf. All of our staff were deeply moved, thinking how fortunate the furniture would be to go to such a home.
We invite you to discover your own special encounter at the ongoing "ISETAN Vintage Fair."
