Closing London Fashion Week
A Report on Burberry Prorsum!
This season marked the 25th anniversary of London Fashion Week. The collections were imbued with an even greater sense of excitement than usual, and closing the week was Burberry Prorsum, led by Christopher Bailey. The city of London was enveloped in a celebratory mood, with the event generating such buzz that it was broadcast on local television the following morning.

Draped, Light, and Glamorous
On September 22, 2009, at the Roseberys Fine Art Auction House in Westminster, the runway show for the Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2010 womenswear collection took place.
The front row was a constellation of stars, including Emma Watson, Liv Tyler, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mary-Kate Olsen, Agyness Deyn, and Victoria Beckham, all adorned in Burberry Prorsum dresses. They, along with editors, buyers, and a packed audience, added to the glamour and excitement of the venue.
As for the collection itself – peppermint, trench honey, frosted pink… a captivating interplay of nude and pale tones, exuding a light and fresh femininity. The most striking element, embodying the collection's theme of "Twisted Classics," was the masterful draping, achieved with generous use of light, high-quality materials such as washed gabardine and washed chiffon. The combination of Burberry's iconic trench coat with this draping technique presented a new vision of the fresh and glamorous woman envisioned by Creative Director Christopher Bailey.
An after-party was held at Burberry's headquarters, Horseferry House, just a short walk from the show venue. The atmosphere heated up with a live performance by UK band The Kooks, as well as DJ sets by Agyness Deyn and others, culminating in an electrifying night to close London Fashion Week.
