A First for John Lobb: A New Technique
St. Crispin's Day, Saturday, October 25th, is a date that draws the attention of fans as a day to simultaneously showcase the exceptional craftsmanship of John Lobb's artisans worldwide. The 2008 annual model features a significant detail: hand-stitched detailing, one hole at a time, a technique that is a first for John Lobb.
The last is No. 7000, crafted from aniline-finished full-grain Oxford calf leather. In Japan, three colors will be available: Black Oxford Calf, Brown Oxford Calf, and Noisette Oxford Calf.

John Lobb
Born in Cornwall (Southwest England) in 1829, John Lobb founded "John Lobb" in Australia in 1858. He received a gold medal at the Great Exhibition of 1862 and was appointed Purveyor to the Royal Household the following year. In 1901, the brand expanded to Paris (William Hunter Lobb). In 1976, the John Lobb family transferred the brand name "John Lobb" and its sales rights to "Hermès," withdrawing from Paris. Subsequently, a bespoke boutique was opened on Saint James Street in London. Ready-to-wear was launched in 1982, and a boutique opened on Rue François 1er in Paris in 1990. A boutique opened on Jermyn Street in London in 1995, handling only ready-to-wear. In 1997, Japan's flagship store opened in Aoyama, Tokyo. A boutique opened on Madison Avenue in New York in 2000, and in 2005, a new concept boutique opened in Marunouchi, Tokyo, ahead of the rest of the world.
