GucciGucci has launched the "GG Flag Collection" to commemorate the start of its support for UNICEF's "Schools for Asia" project, which aims to provide quality primary education to disadvantaged children in Asia.

For the Success of UNICEF's "Schools for Asia"

This year, UNICEF launched "Schools for Asia," a project aimed at improving primary education for children who have lost their parents or live in poverty.

Gucci began its partnership with UNICEF in 2005, releasing the "Gucci for UNICEF" bag series annually. Over seven years, the company has donated $12 million USD.

Gucci is the first corporate partner for the "Schools for Asia" initiative. The company will donate $350,000 USD to projects initially implemented in Yunnan and Chongqing provinces, among other planned regions. Furthermore, 25% of the sales price from all items in the GG Flag Collection will be donated to projects in both Asia and Africa.

The GG Flag Collection includes bags, wallets, and T-shirts. Each item features Gucci's iconic "Interlocking G" motif, creatively arranged and boldly printed in the colors of the national flags of the countries where the collection is sold. The designs were conceived by Creative Director Frida Giannini herself, who shared her thoughts on the initiative:

"The combination of flag colors symbolizes various ideals and principles. The new GG Flag Collection signifies Gucci's commitment to strengthening its ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education for children in challenging circumstances and those who are disadvantaged. We are immensely proud to support such an important cause. Education is an eternal gift for all children."

UNICEF's initiatives are realized through the support of various corporations and individuals. The GG Flag Collection embodies the aspirations of Gucci's designers and artisans for the success of these endeavors.
