Elevating the Collection's Atmosphere into a Narrative

'One Plus One' explores a love triangle, colored by suspense and unease, through the tension between space and a woman's silhouette. The story unfolds enigmatically, leaving much to the viewer's imagination until the mystery is finally revealed in the light of day.


This short film translates the elegance of the Spring/Summer 2012 collection, imbued with an opalescent glow, into a sophisticated language. Its soundtrack and cinematography achieve a quality reminiscent of classic cinema. Filmed in Lombardy, Italy, a region cherished by Mr. Armani, the movie captures the unique textures of its architecture and buildings, and the colors of Renaissance Italian paintings—a blend of brightness and serenity—through modern camerawork, adding further depth to the narrative.


The film was directed by Luca Guadagnino, whose work has been nominated for Golden Globe Awards and generated significant buzz with the release of his film 'I Am Love' in Japan late last year. He commented, 'The opportunity to "animate" Giorgio Armani's clothing through this story of desire and suspense has been a particularly meaningful experience for me.'


Mr. Armani added, 'Working with Luca Guadagnino gave me the chance to transform the atmosphere of my collections into a story.'
