Hotel Chocolat, the British cacao brand, is launching its chocolate drink maker, "Velvetiser," in Japan. Ahead of its release in domestic stores and official online store in mid-December 2020, pre-orders will be accepted on the official online store starting November 23 (Mon, holiday).

Flavors range from dark to orange and vegan, with 15 varieties
Hotel Chocolat, with over 120 stores across the UK, offers not only chocolates that highlight the flavor and character of high-quality cacao, but also a diverse range of cacao-based businesses including cafes, restaurants, hotels, and beauty items.
Hotel Chocolat also owns a cacao plantation on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia. The company is committed to sustainable and ethical cacao business practices, including providing technical and economic support to the plantation.
The "Velvetiser" chocolate drink maker, launching in Japan for the first time, was created in the UK in 2018 through a joint design with British appliance manufacturer Dualit. It has since become a hit product in the UK, with over 150,000 units sold.
The "Velvetiser" incorporates a whisk inspired by the molinillo, a wooden whisk traditionally used in South American countries for making hot chocolate. It is designed to preserve the full flavor of their uniquely blended chocolates.
Simply add milk, soy milk, nut milk, or other ingredients with minimal sugar to the chocolate flakes and press a button to create a hot chocolate. As the name suggests, it's a soft, creamy, and exquisitely sweet "velvet"-like experience. Enjoy barista-grade hot and cold drinks at home, just like you would at a cafe.
The chocolate flakes come in 15 flavors, ranging from milk chocolate to dark, orange, hazelnut, and vegan options. Hotel Chocolat's philosophy of "More Cacao, Less Sweet" guides their lineup, emphasizing the natural flavors and characteristics of cacao.
The "Velvetiser" makes it easy to enjoy cafe-quality hot chocolate in just two and a half minutes. Elevate your moments of relaxation with exquisite hot chocolate that captures the aroma and taste of cacao.
