Timepieces Inspired by TAG Heuer and Motor Racing
Since its founding in 1860, TAG Heuer has been dedicated to pursuing ultimate precision and has poured its passion into unparalleled professional timekeeping. For over 150 years, it has also introduced numerous innovative timepieces inspired by motor racing. Now, TAG Heuer is launching a limited-time shop in collaboration with Ken Okuyama, an industrial designer who has shaped numerous car designs for GM, Porsche, and Italy's Pininfarina. The shop will open on Saturday, February 14th, at ISHIDA GALLERIA, a high-end watch specialty store in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
The collaborative shop space features an unprecedented sense of speed in its design. The "kode9," a lightweight sports car unveiled by KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN in 2013, is displayed as if racing across the wall, inviting visitors on a journey through time and space, much like speeding around a circuit.
In addition to collaboration watches with the concept car "kode9" and TAG Heuer timepieces, the shop will also feature items evoking the world of motorsport, such as eyewear designed by KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN.
