Features Olfactory Discrimination Technology Developed with Osaka Institute of Technology

Our own scent is something we rarely notice. This is because humans have a tendency to stop perceiving a smell after being exposed to it for a while.

Kunkun Body is a body odor measurement item consisting of a measurement device and a smartphone app. It is equipped with multiple semiconductor gas sensors that detect odor-causing components and display them in levels. The measurement results allow for an objective assessment of whether countermeasures are needed.

The olfactory discrimination technology was developed in collaboration with the Osaka Institute of Technology. The "Kunkun Body" is equipped with a program that analyzes and researches odor components using AI technology and machine learning.

Previously, it could measure and display sweat odor, aging odor, and middle-aged odor components in 10 levels for areas such as the head, behind the ears, armpits, and feet. The newly added "mouth odor" function displays the intensity of unpleasant odors derived from food, alcohol, or sulfur compounds generated in the mouth on a 100-point scale.



Odor is an issue that can affect communication. Because it's a sensitive matter, using "Kunkun Body" for objective, numerical judgment can alleviate anxiety, leading to a more fulfilling life both in business and personal relationships.
