Enjoy Your Favorite Scent Anytime with "AROMASTIC™"
SONY has begun accepting purchase requests for "AROMASTIC™," a portable stick-type aroma diffuser, through its crowdfunding site "First Flight." The device comes with a dedicated cartridge containing five scents, allowing users to enjoy authentic essential oils supervised by aromatherapists from the esteemed British organic cosmetics brand NEAL'S YARD REMEDIES, and to easily switch between fragrances.

"AROMASTIC" is a cartridge-based stick-type aroma diffuser that can carry five scents. Its compact and smart design allows for easy one-handed operation, so you can quickly take it out of your pouch or bag and enjoy your personal scent anytime, anywhere.
Through "AROMASTIC," SONY proposes a new entertainment experience centered on scent. Whether you need to enhance concentration, refresh yourself during travel, or relax after a workout, you can easily carry and enjoy your favorite scent, much like music.
The dedicated cartridge comes pre-loaded with five types of natural essential oils supervised by aromatherapists from NEAL'S YARD REMEDIES, a long-established British organic cosmetics brand. Scents can be easily switched.
The cartridges are replaceable, and multiple types are planned for future release, allowing users to choose scents according to their mood and preference.
"AROMASTIC," born from SONY's new business creation program, is seeking purchasers through crowdfunding on "First Flight." Once the target amount is reached, the product will be manufactured and delivered to the purchasers.
Events will also be held to experience these new scents. An experiential event will run until mid-January 2016 at the NEAL'S YARD REMEDIES Omotesando Main Store, and on November 28th (Sat.) and 29th (Sun.), you can experience the scents at the Shibuya Hikarie ShinQs 1F Event Space.
SONY once changed how we enjoy music with the portable audio player "Walkman," by offering the concept of carrying music. Will "scent," a new form of entertainment, become the next movement?
