From Reimagined Classics to New Furniture by Emerging Talents
Cassina has consistently created unique, high-quality spaces by fusing exceptional craftsmanship with signature designs. The new collection features an eclectic range of products designed to accommodate diverse styles.
First, the iconic "FIANDRA" sofa is a must-see. This beloved piece, also a favorite of its designer Vico Magistretti, has been reimagined by Cassina in collaboration with the Magistretti Foundation. While honoring the original design, its proportions have been re-evaluated to meet contemporary needs.
The seat has been widened for a more generous feel, and the base has been subtly adjusted to enhance its relaxed comfort.
The structure has been streamlined, with a metal frame supporting cushions of varying densities, wrapped in recycled polyester fiber for stability. The interior uses polyurethane with plant-based polyols, evolving into a sustainable design that is easier to disassemble and recycle.
The side table, "FLUID JOINERY – Side Table Ⅰ," is an art piece that merges the fluidity of blown glass with sculptural beauty.
Designed by Linde Freya Tangelder, this table is a testament to the collaboration that began with Cassina's "Patronage" project in 2022, aimed at nurturing young talent.
This side table is formed by blowing glass into cast iron molds. Finished by skilled artisans in Italy's Veneto region, it showcases the beautiful interplay of light and color created by layers of glass with varying thicknesses.
Available in three colors—smoke, amber, and blue—the table features multiple layers of transparent and colored glass, creating a unique depth. Each piece, being handmade, possesses a distinct character, lending it an unparalleled presence.
Designed by Formafantasma, the "FF. SPINE" is a modern bookshelf that celebrates the beauty of solid wood and Cassina's exceptional woodworking expertise.
Its geometric and delicate form, combined with a modular structure that assembles parts with varied wood grains, represents a sustainable design approach that maximizes material use from a single log.
The minimalist, freestanding design allows for double-sided use. By freely combining shelf lengths and support columns, it can create rhythm and depth within a space.
In addition to three variations combining ash and Canaletto walnut, color options with hand-applied red, blue, and green finishes are also available.
A range of dining tables and table sets are also featured. These include the "TL59," an architectural sculpture of a table by Afra & Tobia Scarpa that harmonizes the solidity of aluminum with the transparency of glass, and Ronan Bouroullec's "TREFLO" table collection, which imbues simplicity with vitality.
Also new is the "MON-NID" bed by Patricia Urquiola, which expresses a sense of comfort through its generous volume and flowing curves.
The lineup also includes classic pieces: the "CONSOLE DORON" from 1947, with its distinctive single leg and rich wood aesthetic, and the "TABLE BASSE EN FORME LIBRE," a natural evolution of a table designed by Charlotte Perriand in Japan in 1953.
Some items, such as the "MON-NID" bed and the "TABLE BASSE EN FORME LIBRE" low table, are exclusively displayed at the Aoyama flagship store, so we recommend checking in advance.
