A Space Designed as a "Home" Unveiled
Designed by interior stylist Masato Kawai, &ima is based on the concept of “A Home for Enjoying Photography” and is composed of three areas: “LIVING,” “STUDIO,” and “KITCHEN.” Each area offers services designed to fully experience the appeal of photography and spend enjoyable time with loved ones.
The “LIVING” area features a curated selection of items, from prints and photo books to stylish goods and photo frames, perfect for incorporating photography into your interior design. It also offers experiential services for both adults and children, such as 360° photo shoots and the creation of original goods with your favorite photos printed on tote bags, accessories, or cookies.
In the “STUDIO” area, professional photographers propose optimal expressions, ranging from the stark finish reminiscent of portraits by the master Richard Avedon to more pop-inspired styles. The space also hosts workshops on the world's finest printing technique, platinum printing.
The “KITCHEN” area, with views of Yokohama Port, offers a relaxing space to unwind with carefully crafted sandwiches, smoothies, and sweets from the popular Daikanyama sandwich bar "King George" during breaks from shopping and photo experiences. It can also be used for events such as bridal showers and birthday parties.
The space is packed with participatory and experiential elements that leverage the amana group's dedication to photography, its expressive capabilities, and the latest digital technology. These include a shooting studio specializing in artistic photographic expressions, distinct from other photo studios, and a 3D photography service that allows you to create miniature figures of yourself.
