Introducing "2G," a new studio concept that fuses art toys, a concept shop, and a gallery. Here, we present MEDICOM TOY's latest items scheduled for release in May 2024 at its two locations: 2G TOKYO in Shibuya, Tokyo, and 2G OSAKA in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. This month features "SHADOW MOON (Ver. HAJIME SORAYAMA)," a statue based on the work of master Hajime Sorayama, who also designed the "2G" logo.

Hajime Sorayama, a world-renowned artist, is also known for designing the "2G" logo. He is celebrated for his unique hyperrealism style that transcends mere realism, having previously designed female robots and the original Sony AIBO.

In 2021, to commemorate MEDICOM TOY's 25th anniversary, Sorayama created a new concept art for "Shadow Moon," a character from "Kamen Rider BLACK." This artwork was realized as a one-off statue exhibited at a MEDICOM TOY exhibition and also released as a BE@RBRICK, garnering significant attention from fans.

The "SHADOW MOON (Ver. HAJIME SORAYAMA)," standing approximately 470mm tall and finally making its debut, features a metallic finish achieved through full die-cast construction with plating (some ABS parts are used). Furthermore, it boasts an impressive specification with built-in LEDs that illuminate the compound eyes, "Mighty Eye," and the central "Shadow Charger" on the waist.
