Introducing "BE@RBRICK 1000% OUI OU NON 01," the latest from OUI OU, the upcycled brand produced by Non. This is a one-of-a-kind art piece, a 1000% BE@RBRICK transformed from patchwork created with costumes Non actually wore on stage. We asked about the thoughts behind it.

"OUI OU" (pronounced 'wee-oo'), produced by Non, is an upcycled brand that offers the joy of living closely with artists, based on the concept of "Always Together with Your Favorite Artist" and "Life with Your Oshi (Favorite Idol/Character)."

Upcycling is a process that reduces environmental impact by adding new value to discarded or waste materials. Through the hands of creators, stage costumes and personal clothing from artists who have supported this initiative have been transformed into one-of-a-kind collector's items such as sacoches, pouches, and framed art pieces.

The new piece is a one-of-a-kind art work born from a collaboration with MEDICOM TOY, utilizing scraps from OUI OU pieces previously created, announced, and sold using Non's costumes. It has been sublimated into a large BE@RBRICK, approximately 700mm in height. It was first unveiled at the venue of Non's first Valentine's live, "NON Valentine Live 2025 \"bitter is better\"", held on February 9, 2025, at Zepp Haneda, and garnered significant attention.

This artwork also comes with a signed polaroid photo of Non (a two-shot of Non & BE@RBRICK 1000% OUI OU NON 01) and the OUI OU catalog. Acquire this heartfelt, one-of-a-kind BE@RBRICK and fully enjoy "Life with your Oshi"!

NonIt's filled with deeply memorable clothes: personal outfits I wore for interviews, the costume I wore when singing "Please Let Me Travel Through Time" with Otomo Yoshihide's band at an art festival in Hokkaido produced by him, the commemorative costume from my very first live performance (@Joshibi University), and the outfit created by Kumiko Iijima for my first tour, "Super Heroes Tour."

— Could you tell us why you decided to create a BE@RBRICK this time?

NonI've been well taken care of by President Akashi of MEDICOM TOY for a long time; he even made a BE@RBRICK of my character goods, "Warui-chan." Some fans who got it have taken it on trips with them and posted about it on X, cherishing it and spending time with it.
When I conceived the OUI OU project this time, I wanted to create it as BE@RBRICK, this world-renowned collaborative art form.

MEDICOM TOY provided their full cooperation, and furthermore, we were able to have the artist Miki-san from MARGARET BEAR create it, resulting in a truly unique work.

I feel that not discarding the fabric scraps but turning them into such a wonderful piece of art perfectly embodies the philosophy of OUI OU. I'm truly happy.

— What were your impressions when you saw the completed BE@RBRICK?

NonI was thrilled to see it become such a magnificent piece.

Costumes of completely different styles came together, condensing my memories. My journey as Non has been sublimated into a new form, giving me an unexpected sense of emotion. It's a curious discovery.

One of the things I wanted to achieve with OUI OU was to "feel my favorite artist in my daily life and enjoy each day." I imagined what would happen after it went to someone's hands. But I never anticipated that it would uplift my own spirit.

Seeing the finished product, all the staff members were half-jokingly saying, "I want it..."

I hope this beloved bear will bring joy and color to someone's life.
