"2G," a new style of studio that fuses art toys, concept shops, and galleries. MEDICOM TOY, Motofumi "Poggy" Kogi, and NANZUKA opened this space in 2019 as a hub for creating new culture and values through their unique perspectives and synergistic initiatives (2G OSAKA opened in 2020). It consistently garners intense global attention.
Here, we introduce MEDICOM TOY's new items scheduled for release in July 2023 at two stores: 2G TOKYO in Shibuya, Tokyo, and 2G OSAKA in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. This month features the EIFFEL TOWER BE@RBRICK SPARKLING Ver. in 100% & 400% and 1000% sizes.

Erected in March 1889 as the centerpiece of the Exposition Universelle, the Eiffel Tower stands as an icon of Paris, the French capital. Its current height to the tip is approximately 330 meters. Revered as "The Iron Lady" (La Dame de fer), it is the world's most visited paid tower, attracting 7 million visitors annually. Currently, the tower is undergoing repainting in preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The latest iteration of the "BE@RBRICK EIFFEL TOWER," a collaboration with the Eiffel Tower, is set to debut at 2G.

This series first appeared in 2018 to commemorate the 160th anniversary of Franco-Japanese friendship (as a two-figure set with the Tokyo Tower Bearbrick). Since then, the GOLDEN GOWN Ver., inspired by a party dress, was released in 2021, followed by the Tricolor Ver., adorned in the French national flag's tricolor, in 2022, both as limited edition releases.

The "EIFFEL TOWER BE@RBRICK SPARKLING Ver. 100% & 400% / 1000%" arriving now, true to its "SPARKLING" name, depicts the Eiffel Tower glowing blue amidst a night cityscape, much like effervescent champagne. Its subdued color palette makes it a BE@RBRICK for adults, an ideal piece for living rooms or bedrooms as an interior accent.
