Royal Selangor, Malaysia's esteemed pewter brand founded in 1885, has collaborated with MEDICOM TOY to create a tiger-striped BE@RBRICK. This release features the 400% size alongside the brand's first-ever 1000% pewter version.

ROYAL SELANGOR, Asia's largest pewter manufacturer and a purveyor to the Malaysian royal family, was founded in 1885. Since its inception, the brand has poured the craftsmanship of its artisans and the ingenuity of its designers into high-purity tin alloys, producing top-quality products, primarily tableware.
MEDICOM TOY and Royal Selangor first collaborated in December 2017, releasing the "BE@RBRICK ROYAL SELANGOR," a 400% BE@RBRICK made of pewter. The unique texture, born from Royal Selangor's traditional techniques, garnered attention, leading to a popular ongoing collaboration series.

The new "BE@RBRICK ROYAL SELANGOR TIGER 400% / 1000%" draws inspiration from abstract sculptural tigers, presenting a striking tiger-stripe design. The intricately detailed body is hollow, featuring a tiger's face on the head and a tail on the back. The full-body stripes are as beautiful as flickering flames.

Incidentally, the tiger, the largest living feline, symbolizes "strength and courage" in Malaysia, appearing as two tigers supporting the shield on the national emblem. Once widespread across the Asian continent until the early 20th century, their habitat has diminished by over 90% in the past century, and many populations are now critically endangered.

This "BE@RBRICK ROYAL SELANGOR TIGER," the first pewter BE@RBRICK in the 1000% size, is an item that will surely retain its luster for a century to come, evoking various sentiments in those who hold it.
