Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890), the globally renowned Dutch painter.
Now, BE@RBRICK has collaborated with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, his hometown, to bring his popular painting "The Bedroom" to life as a BE@RBRICK.

In 1888, Van Gogh left Paris to recover his health and moved to Arles in the south of France, the setting for "The Bedroom." This work was painted during that period.

As he himself said, "When I face the canvas after being ill, the bedroom seemed the best place." The motif is his bedroom, which he felt was the most peaceful place at the time, and the bright colors are used to express unconditional "rest" and "sleep." Furthermore, it was consciously painted using the style of Japanese ukiyo-e, with a simple composition, uniform colors, clear outlines, and the exclusion of shadows.

Van Gogh himself was very fond of this work. Now, let's fully appreciate his vibrant paintings from the Arles period through BE@RBRICK.
