UNDERCOVER's iconic "GILAPPLE" item gets a clock function with the "GILAPPLE CLOCK," now available in a new colorway through a collaboration with DOROTHY HENDRICKS.

"Dorothy Hendricks," launched in May 2021, offers all-gender daily wear and kids' items. Riko Morishita, who was active as a model, serves as the designer, while her daughter, Rara Takahashi, handles the brand's graphics. After retiring from modeling, Morishita focused on childcare while also designing UNDERCOVER's kids' line alongside Jun Takahashi. Dorothy, the namesake of the brand, is also known as the protagonist's name in the American children's literary work "The Wizard of Oz," which has also been adapted into musicals and films.

UNDERCOVER's "GILAPPLE," inspired by an apple, symbolizes the brand's philosophy of "beautiful chaos." It first appeared in the Spring/Summer 2009 women's collection as part of a photo exhibition themed around the interaction between "GRACE," a plush creature created by Jun Takahashi, and the people of the mysterious organization "GILA" who protect it. Later, in the Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 collection presented at Paris Fashion Week, models walked the runway illuminating the venue with lit "GILAPPLEs" in their hands.

GILAPPLE has been commercialized through collaborations with MEDICOM TOY, and in 2016, it was updated as the "GILAPPLE CLOCK" with a clock function replacing the light. Subsequently, the "GILAPPLE SPEAKER" with a speaker function was also released.

While GILAPPLE CLOCK has previously been released in RED, BLACK, and GOLD, this collaboration with DOROTHY HENDRICKS features an exquisite color scheme with a soft BLUE complemented by striking GOLD. The logos of both brands are amicably placed side-by-side on the clock face.
