RED Ver. statues of "LOVE RAT" and "SUICIDE MAN," inspired by the graffiti of the London-based anonymous artist BANKSY, are now available as exclusive items from MEDICOM TOY PLUS and 2G.

"LOVE RAT" is a statue inspired by graffiti depicting a rat holding a paintbrush and creating a heart mark. Rats are one of BANKSY's most frequently used motifs. In a new piece released on his official Instagram, themed around lockdown restrictions, he humorously depicted rats running amok, stepping on toothpaste tubes in the bathroom, and scampering over toilet paper.

While the rats in his earliest works, drawn on the streets of Liverpool, were depicted with rollers for quick execution, the rat holding a brush is said to represent the artist meticulously working in his studio, taking his time until he is satisfied. It can be seen as a cynical expression of his love for street art.

"SUICIDE MAN" is a statue inspired by the David statue exhibited at "Banksy versus Bristol Museum" in 2009. The David statue, created in the early 16th century Renaissance by Michelangelo, who possessed extremely accurate knowledge of the human body, is reimagined here with half its face covered by a bandana and suicide bomb strapped to its abdomen, embodying the very essence of an art terrorist.
