This month sees the launch of two new BE@RBRICK Karimoku fragmentdesign 400% models.

LATTICE PATTERN refers to a grid design. It is a framework combining materials such as wood and metal in cross patterns, used since ancient times for building exteriors and garden structures, and later playing a significant role in interior design.

In Japan, the use of lattices as window designs began with the introduction of temple architecture during the Asuka period, serving various purposes such as security, spatial division, light control, and decoration. It is still fresh in our memory that they are extensively used in the "National Stadium," which opened in 2019.

This time, we present "carved wooden," inspired by the wooden carved bears that have been loved as folk crafts for many years, and "polygon," inspired by the polygons used in computer graphics surface modeling, both designed by fragmentdesign. Each piece is meticulously crafted by Karimoku artisans, who combine wood by hand and apply a distinctive surface treatment. These models also feature a signature sander mark on the back. We highly recommend experiencing them firsthand.
