Two years after the "Unidentified Lifeform Incident" was resolved, a mysterious artifact, an OOPArt, washes ashore on Yonaguni Island. Around the same time, people begin dying mysteriously at the hands of an unknown monster called an "Unknown." Makoto Hikawa of the Unidentified Lifeform Countermeasures Division of the Metropolitan Police Department dons the G3 powered suit to intercept them, but he is overwhelmed by the monsters' incredible power. Just as G3 is cornered, a golden warrior named "Agito" appears. Strange changes occur in the bodies of the amnesiac young man Shoichi Tsugami and swimmer Ryo Ashihara. The mysteries of Agito, the Unknown, and the OOPArt gradually unfold, along with Shoichi's hidden past.

Produced in the wake of the previous year's popular "Kamen Rider Kuuga," this series recorded a peak viewership rating of 13.9%, the highest in the history of the Heisei/Reiwa Kamen Rider series. It was the first work to feature multiple Kamen Riders and laid the foundation for the series that continues to this day, making it a true "origin." A quarter-century after its broadcast, the "Shin Agito Ten" exhibition, which delves into the "truth" beyond the "soul" with "testimonies" from the cast and staff of the time and valuable "materials," will be held sequentially in four locations across Japan, starting in Tokyo in April 2026, followed by Fukuoka, Nagoya, and Osaka.
