Giant Marusan Garamon, Expanded Edition (2nd Release)
It has been nearly two years since the reclusive artist NAGNAGNAG passed away suddenly, his work unfinished. Now, NEW ART GUILD, carrying on his legacy, is releasing the "Giant Garamon, Expanded Edition by Marusan (2nd Release), 1200mm," which he produced during his lifetime, via a lottery sale.

Coloring Inspired by the Legendary First Release of Marusan Garamon
Garamon is a popular kaiju that first appeared in episode 13, "Garamon Ball" (aired March 27, 1966), of the 1966 television series *Ultra Q*.
In May of the same year, Marusan Shoten released soft vinyl figures of the kaiju from *Ultra Q*, which gradually gained popularity among children and developed into a social phenomenon known as the first kaiju boom. Among these, the "First Release Garamon" (with a movable tail and navy molded plastic), limited to only 600 units, is a highly coveted item among kaiju sofubi collectors when found in good condition.
This product is a recreation of the Marusan Garamon, long spoken of as an urban legend, produced under the direction of NAGNAGNAG. Development began with official approval from Tsuburaya Productions, Marusan, and M1号, as a successor series to the extra-large Kanegon created for M1号's store display in the late 1990s.
As the original mold for the "First Release Garamon" no longer exists, a prototype was created with added texture based on data scanned from Mr. Yuji Nishimura's collection at M1号. The mold was completed over approximately six months. Furthermore, despite its massive 1200mm height, the molding was carried out at a factory in Japan, adhering to NAGNAGNAG's insistence on MADE IN JAPAN. The copyright mark indicating Tsuburaya Productions' license is stamped on the sole of the right foot, the Marusan mark is on the inner side of the right foot, and NAGNAGNAG's logo is imprinted on the sole of the left foot.
The Garamon being released this time is what was known as the second release by Marusan. It features a dark green molded color with a period-accurate metallic blue finish, and the skin-tone parts have been meticulously researched to match the original color. This is a chance to own the coveted Garamon in a colossal 1200mm size, so don't miss out.
