Disney and F1® are currently running the "Fuel the Magic" collaboration, which began with a special presentation at the 2025 F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix. The initiative blends the storytelling of Disney with the passion of F1 fans through original Mickey & Friends comics and immersive events. Following its successful reception, the program has been extended through the 2028 season, evolving into a year-round engagement.

 

This new BE@RBRICK release commemorates the return of Formula 1 to the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia for the first time in nine years (the 2026 F1 Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia), with ROYAL SELANGOR joining the project.

 

Founded in 1885, ROYAL SELANGOR is a heritage Malaysian brand that has been crafting pewter products for over 140 years. They have collaborated with MEDICOM TOY on numerous BE@RBRICK releases since 2017, bringing various characters and artistic concepts to life through their signature material and techniques.

 

The star of the show is Mickey, dressed in a racing suit. Based on the BE@RBRICK form, the helmet visor features "Formula 1®" branding, while the racing suit is detailed with checkered flags, Mickey’s silhouette, the initial "M," and the number "28," a nod to 1928, the year Mickey made his screen debut.

 

Disney’s most iconic star meets the world’s pinnacle of motorsport. It is a new form of collector’s item, one that effortlessly crosses cultural boundaries through the fusion of Malaysian craftsmanship and the BE@RBRICK form.
