From MEDICOM TOY's monster sofubi brand, the MAT (MONSTER ART TOY) Monster Great Battle Series introduces "DAICON FILM Version Ultraman + MAT Arrow 1" and "Bug Jewel."

The Masterpiece Amateur Tokusatsu Work Created by Director Hideaki Anno During His Student Years
DAICON FILM was an amateur film production group based in Osaka that operated from 1981 to 1985, primarily centered around Hideaki Anno and Takami Akai, who were university students at the time. Their 1982 tokusatsu film, "DAICON FILM Version Return of Ultraman," depicts the battle between Ultraman and the giant monster Bug Jewel, which attacks Hiratsune City.
Beyond its profound story and exceptional miniature work, the film also garnered attention for Hideaki Anno's role as general director. Now, MONSTER ART TOY has recreated Ultraman, the MAT Arrow designed by Director Anno, and the multiplying monster Bug Jewel, designed and sculpted by Takami Akai, in sofubi. These will be available for pre-release at Wonder Festival 2026 (Winter) on February 8, 2026 (Sunday), and through a lottery sale at MCT TOKYO.
