Since the late 1950s, Keiichi Tanaami has consistently produced original works across diverse fields including design, painting, and film, transcending national borders and eras. This singular artist, a master of Japanese pop art, remains remarkably prolific at 83. One might even say his 60-year creative journey is currently at its most fulfilling.

His presence extends beyond the art world, amplified by his recent collaboration "adicolor by Tanaami" with adidas Originals this spring, and his appearance on the TBS television program "Jōnetsu Tairiku."

The psychedelic, surreal, and vividly colorful world he crafts using collage techniques is unmistakable, even in BE@RBRICK form. Tanaami previously participated in MEDICOM TOY's BE@RBRICK WORLD WIDE TOUR in 2005, an exhibition where artists worldwide transformed 1000% size BE@RBRICKs into canvases. These two new BE@RBRICKs, which Tanaami himself previewed on Instagram with a "Coming soon" post, are highly anticipated works. With their doll-like motifs, rendered in a style that is both grotesque and surreal, they are sure to capture the attention of discerning individuals worldwide.

The Keiichi Tanaami BE@RBRICK 100% & 400% will be available in two colorways: red and black. Scheduled for release in August 2019 at MEDICOM TOY's directly managed stores, online shops, and select retailers, each priced at ¥14,000 (excluding tax).
