A BE@RBRICK collaboration between "ANNA SUI" and Medicom Toy, produced on a made-to-order basis for the first time, is set to be released. This is welcome news for fans of the brand, as these popular items were previously only available at event venues.

The "BE@RBRICK ANNA SUI RED & BEIGE 400% / 1000%" being released this time is based on a design from Anna Sui's Spring/Summer 2013 collection, which fused rock fashion with the classical essence of Madeleine Castaing, a French interior designer active in the first half of the 20th century. (A 100% size BE@RBRICK in the same design was released in May 2013 at Mitsukoshi Isetan and sold out in an instant).

In addition to rider's jackets and guitar-patterned ties, it also recreates the cat-ear hats worn by models on the runway of that collection. Details such as button-shaped eyes and a mouth with the brand name arranged in a fan shape imbue it with Anna Sui's signature style.

Anna Sui Japan was established in April of this year. In May, the brand released its 2020 Spring/Summer collection's "My Design" for use within the popular game software "Animal Crossing: New Horizons," which recently garnered significant attention. Expectations are high for future collaborations between Anna Sui and Medicom Toy.
