This YUSUKE HANAI GODZILLA collaboration is part of the "GODZILLA THE ART" project, launched to commemorate Godzilla's 70th anniversary. The project invites contemporary artists from Japan and abroad to engage with Godzilla beyond the confines of film, expressing their unique interpretations. YUSUKE HANAI depicts Godzilla's powerful upper body emerging from the sea with his distinctive touch. The sofubi figure is rich with detail, from the humorous expression to the contrast of the realistic dorsal fins and the sea surface rendered in HANAI's signature style, rooted in his surfing background.

The "Sofubi YUSUKE HANAI GODZILLA" is scheduled for release at MEDICOM TOY NEXT, which opened on the 4th floor of Shibuya PARCO in Tokyo in 2025, and MEDICOM TOY WEST, which opened on the basement 1st floor of Shinsaibashi PARCO in Osaka in April 2026.
