The exhibition "THEATRE," commemorating the release of Kiriko Arai's long-awaited first art book "SOMEWHERE" (PARCO Publishing), will be held from Friday, July 31, 2026, to Monday, August 17, 2026, at GALLERY X BY PARCO (Shibuya PARCO B1F / 15-1 Udagawacho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo). The exhibition is designed to feel like a single theater, where visitors can wander through the stories of the characters, including her representative work "Ookami-kun."

Her first art book, "SOMEWHERE," which will be pre-released at this exhibition, focuses on illustrations drawn since 2017, and includes a newly drawn story exploring the roots of "Ookami-kun," visuals from past solo exhibitions, and three-dimensional works and merchandise, marking a culmination of Kiriko Arai's artistic world.

 

The relationship with MEDICOM TOY began with the second color of the "Ookami-kun" soft vinyl figure, which debuted at the 2020 solo exhibition "Yume Yume" (released in 2021). Since then, MEDICOM TOY has released VAG "Ookami-kun" and "Gorenger × Ookami-kun" in the VAG (VINYL ARTIST GACHA) series, which features many emerging soft vinyl creators.
