A Legendary New York Artist Whose Reputation Continues to Grow
Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960-1988) was born in Brooklyn, New York. In his brief, decade-long career before his untimely death at age 27, he created thousands of artworks.
The "VCD JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT's Warrior" is a three-dimensional representation of Basquiat's 1982 painting "Untitled," created with acrylic and oil stick on wood panel. The original piece measures 72 x 48 inches (182.8 x 121.9 cm). A majestic, three-pointed crown, a signature motif of Basquiat, shines above its head, while the figure holds a giant bone in its right hand, exuding an overwhelming presence.
The "VCD JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT's Warrior" is a figure that masterfully captures the very spirit of Basquiat.
