Since its launch in 1997, mastermind JAPAN has consistently focused on MADE IN JAPAN, incorporating Japanese materials, traditional techniques, and the latest technology into its ready-to-wear collections.

While the brand has collaborated with numerous other labels, including Hublot, Globe-Trotter, adidas, and Mercedes-Benz, it paused its collection activities after its 15th anniversary in Spring/Summer 2013. The announcement of its relaunch for the Fall/Winter 2017 collection sent waves of excitement through fashion enthusiasts worldwide.

MASTERMIND WORLD is the collection line launched concurrently with the 2017 revival of mastermind JAPAN, specifically for the global market. It is primarily handled by high-end select shops overseas, such as Maxfield in LA, and is available only at select locations, including MASTERMIND TOKYO, within Japan.

BE@RBRICK has collaborated with mastermind JAPAN multiple times before, but this marks the first collaboration model with MASTERMIND WORLD. The jet-black body features the brand's iconic skull motif and the Japanese character for "prosperity" (繁栄), symbolizing a wish for the owner's continued success, all rendered in gold. This inaugural model heightens anticipation for future MASTERMIND WORLD releases.
