"2G" is a new style of studio where three companies, active in their respective fields—NANZUKA in "gallery," Motohiro "POGGY" Kogi and Daytona International in "concept shop," and MEDICOM TOY in "art toy"—engage in communication, sometimes with their unique perspectives, and sometimes with synergy.
Here, we introduce new MEDICOM TOY products released in January at two stores: 2G TOKYO in Shibuya, Tokyo, and 2G OSAKA in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. As all items are limited in quantity, sales will end once stock is depleted.

From Sync., MEDICOM TOY's original brand that proposes playful items valuing the connection between artists and objects with the concept of "Synchronize," comes a new statue inspired by BANKSY's graffiti. Speaking of Banksy, it's still fresh in our memory that just recently (December 2020), he unveiled a new work on the wall of a house in the suburbs of Bristol, England, depicting an elderly woman sneezing.

This release is the second bronze colorway of the statue of a girl embracing a giant bomb, "BOMB HUGGER STATUE." While the "BOMB HUGGER BRONZE STATUE" released in September 2020 was in a brownish hue common for indoor bronze statues, this version is rendered in a greenish hue, often seen in outdoor bronze statues. The emerald green surface, appearing as if oxidized by years of rain and wind, seems to symbolize a desire for a peaceful world without bombs. This is a masterpiece that you will surely want to own.
