Shiro, a member of the Nohara family from the TV anime "Crayon Shin-chan," will be released as an early anime version by MEDICOM TOY's VCD (Vinyl Collectible Dolls). As "Crayon Shin-chan" has fans from children to adults, this item is sure to attract widespread attention.

"Crayon Shin-chan," a slapstick comedy depicting the chaos caused by the very laid-back five-year-old Shinnosuke Nohara and the adults who are swept up in it, began as a comic serialization in 1990 and started airing as an anime in April 1992. Loved for over 30 years along with its theatrical films, the original comic and related books have surpassed 134 million copies worldwide. The anime has aired in 45 countries and regions globally, and Shin-chan has grown beyond a "national character" to become a "global celebrity."

MEDICOM TOY has released numerous "Crayon Shin-chan" figures, but this time they are releasing the "VCD Shiro Early Anime Ver.," inspired by the episode "I Found a Puppy, Zo" which aired on May 25, 1992. This is a must-have item for long-time fans. In reality, Shiro is perhaps more sensible than anyone in the Nohara family! His bond with the family began when Shin-chan brought home Shiro, who was in a cardboard box. With Shin-chan's friends from Futaba Kindergarten watching, Shiro, whom Shin-chan described as "like cotton candy," has been wonderfully brought to life. He comes with the cardboard box Shiro was in. His adorable expression also hints at his mischievous side, like when he ruined Misae's clothes.

Paired with the "VCD Shin-chan Early Anime Ver." scheduled for release in October 2023, you're sure to feel like you've time-traveled back to those nostalgic days.
