MAFEX, renowned as "the ultimate action figure" for its perfect form and exceptional articulation, boasts immense popularity. While the series has previously featured Batman from films (The Dark Knight Trilogy, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, JUSTICE LEAGUE) and comics (The Dark Knight Returns, HUSH), the animated TV series version, produced and aired in the United States in the 1990s, is finally making its debut.

Batman: The Animated Series (aired 1992-1995), conceived and produced by Warner Bros. Animation, garnered acclaim for its dynamic action and film noir-inspired settings by visionary creators like Bruce Timm, with a total of 85 episodes broadcast. The feature-length film, Batman Mask of the Phantasm: The Animated Movie, was also released in 1993.

The Batman being released as part of the MAFEX line this time is based on the costume from its sequel series, The New Batman Adventures (aired 1997-1999). This model, popular among adult fans for its refined design, is likely one many have eagerly awaited. Its distinctive streamlined silhouette is perfectly reproduced, and the cape parts offer a choice between a fixed type for upright display and a fabric, articulated type. The head can be swapped with a Bruce Wayne unmasked part, and it comes with an abundance of dedicated weapon parts, including Batarangs.

While future developments are undecided, this marks the beginning of a new line, and we eagerly anticipate the appearance of allies like Robin, Batgirl, and Nightwing, as well as arch-foes Joker and Harley Quinn.
