"Moonraker," the 11th film in the series released in 1979, sees James Bond pursue a hijacked space shuttle, the "Moonraker," from Venice to Rio, the Amazon, and finally into outer space to thwart a plot to exterminate humanity by a mysterious organization.

Roger Moore starred as Bond, with Texan actress Lois Chiles as the Bond girl. The opening scene, where Bond falls from a plane without a parachute and survives by stealing an enemy's parachute, is considered one of the series' most iconic moments among fans.
