The Fujiko F. Fujio Museum in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, will celebrate its 15th anniversary on September 3rd this year (2026). To commemorate this, the museum's original products, "VCD Earred Doraemon (Doraemon Birth Edition)" and "UDF Earred Doraemon (Doraemon Birth Edition)," will be re-released for the first time in approximately 10 years.

Reappearing for the First Time in About 10 Years in VCD and UDF! Yellow Parts Reproduced with Gold Plating!
The Fujiko F. Fujio Museum in Kawasaki City exhibits original artwork and related materials from the many hit works of manga artist Fujiko F. Fujio, including "Doraemon."
Since its opening on September 3, 2011, the museum has welcomed numerous fans from Japan and abroad, reaching a total of 5 million visitors on August 12, 2024. This year (2026) marks its 15th anniversary.
September 3rd, the 15th anniversary date, is also Doraemon's birthday (Doraemon was born on September 3, 2112). It is a well-known fact that the newborn Doraemon had ears.
At the time of his birth, Doraemon's body was yellow and he had prominent ears. While there are various theories about why he lost his ears, the 1995 film "2112: The Birth of Doraemon" suggests it was because they were accidentally nibbled off by a robot mouse.
The VCD/UDF "Earred Doraemon (Doraemon Birth Edition)," which captures Doraemon's newborn appearance in gold color, was released as a commemorative product for the museum's 5th anniversary (2016) and was very well-received. Now, it is making a comeback as a museum product for the first time in approximately 10 years!
The gold color is reproduced with gold plating. The VCD stands approximately 180mm tall, perfect for display, while the UDF is palm-sized at approximately 65mm tall.
