The comedy event "Hakata Hanamaru & Daikichi presents Hanadai Dontaku supported by Yofuku no Aoyama," hosted by Hakata Hanamaru & Daikichi, concluded with great success on February 10, 2024, at Fukuoka's PayPay Dome. To commemorate this event and the duo's 33rd anniversary, a figure set produced by Hakata Daikichi has been announced. Ahead of its planned September 2024 release, the first pre-order period has begun at MCT TOKYO.

They debuted in May 1990 as the first cohort of Fukuoka Yoshimoto. After gaining popularity on local Fukuoka programs, they moved their base of operations to Tokyo in April 2005. In February 2006, Hanamaru won the "R-1 Grand Prix." Daikichi won the "IPPON Grand Prix" (13th edition) in May 2015. In 2014, they won "THE MANZAI 2014." Since April 2018, they have been hosting NHK's "Asaichi," becoming familiar faces on morning television.

"Hakata Hanamaru & Daikichi presents Hanadai Dontaku supported by Yofuku no Aoyama" was a large-scale event, a "total war of love and connections" where Hanamaru and Daikichi leveraged their extensive network, built over 33 years, to express their gratitude to their hometown Fukuoka and everyone who supported their careers. On the day, tickets sold out, attracting over 34,000 attendees. Including surprise guest Sanma Akashiya, 48 popular comedy groups totaling 80 performers—such as Ninety-nine, Nakagawa-ke, Tutorial, Football Hour, Chidori, Diane, Kamaitachi, and Mitorizu—participated in skits and "Dontaku Sports Day" events over nine and a half hours, electrifying the massive venue.

The "Hakata Hanamaru & Daikichi 33rd Anniversary Figure Set" is produced by Hakata Daikichi, with design by popular illustrator Asami Matsumura and sculpting by MONSTER ART TOY. Medicom Toy is the manufacturer and distributor. The soft vinyl figures capture the distinct height differences and expressions of Hanamaru and Daikichi, presented in a colorful and pop style. Naturally, the set includes the essential stand microphones for a comedy duo.
