This year again, the annual "DesignerCon" (hereafter D-Con), a large-scale convention centered around designer toys, will be held from Friday, December 15th to Sunday, December 17th, in Anaheim, California, USA. Official partner MEDICOM TOY will also participate, selling event commemorative products at their booth. Notably, this will be the last Anaheim event, with the convention moving to Las Vegas next year, which is generating buzz.

DesignerCon was established in 2006 under the name Vinyl Toy Network with the aim of bringing together artists, manufacturers, distributors, and retailers in the vinyl toy and collectible figure market. The first show was held in a small 1,100 sq ft (approx. 102 sqm) conference room at the Pasadena Convention Center, but it has grown year by year to its current scale, now exceeding 300,000 sq ft (approx. 27,870 sqm). Over three days, more than 700 companies and over 350 artists participate, offering not only item sales but also custom shows and live demonstrations.

This show, which encompasses everything in the world of design—from apparel, plush toys, prints, and sculptures to designer toys and high-end urban items—has seen MEDICOM TOY participate as an official partner since 2018. Responding to the organizers' enthusiastic request to "bring the MEDICOM TOY EXHIBITION, held annually in Japan, directly to D-Con," they began with a similar scale and have exhibited every year (participating online only in 2020 due to COVID-19). This year, they will again release products, primarily event-commemorative BE@RBRICKs.

Tickets are now on sale online. Friday the 15th is exclusive to VIP ticket holders, from 5 PM to 9 PM. Saturday the 16th runs from 10 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday the 17th from 10 AM to 5 PM. VIP ticket holders for both the 16th and 17th can enter one hour early and access VIP-only sections. Children aged 12 and under are admitted free.

A gift for attendees who purchase a "VIP Ticket." This design is inspired by "Vincent," the mascot of DesignerCon, created by Scott Tolleson, known for producing numerous designer toys.

BE@RBRICK Dabsmyla 100% & 400%
This BE@RBRICK features artwork by Dabsmyla, a visual art duo based in Melbourne, Australia. It expresses their artistic world, which conveys vast stories through sight, touch, and sound.

BE@RBRICK JJ Lin 100% & 400% / 1000%
This BE@RBRICK commemorates the 20th anniversary of Singaporean singer-songwriter/producer JJ Lin, who is based in Taiwan. His extensive music collaboration history in Asia includes "I Am Alive" with Jason Mraz, "No Filter" with Hiroshi Fujiwara, "Not Tonight (Tomorrow Sounds Good Steve Aoki Remix)" with Steve Aoki, and many other artists.

BE@RBRICK The Hundreds 100% & 400%
Founded in 2003 by Ben and Bobby Hundreds, "The Hundreds" is a lifestyle brand based on 1980s-90s California culture, expressed through both apparel and a web magazine. This BE@RBRICK is a collaboration with them.

BE@RBRICK Make Art not War 100% & 400%
This BE@RBRICK is based on the artwork "Make Art Not War" by Shepard Fairey, also known for creating Barack Obama's "HOPE" poster for the 2008 US presidential election. At "MEDICOM TOY EXHIBITION '22," a 3000% BE@RBRICK was displayed at the venue, generating significant attention.

BE@RBRICK Shepard Fairey 1000%
This is also a collaboration BE@RBRICK with Shepard Fairey. Based on his 2017 artwork "Ideal Power," this is the long-awaited 1000% release, following the 100% & 400% released at last year's DesignerCon.
