Global warming, a major environmental concern, is caused by carbon dioxide emissions from sources such as vehicle exhaust and the burning of waste in factories and landfills. Conventional plastics are derived from petroleum, a process that generates significant amounts of CO2. However, biomass plastics, primarily derived from plants, can achieve a near-zero carbon footprint throughout their lifecycle, from production to disposal and incineration.

MEDICOM TOY's ".jp BE@RBRICK" initiative utilizes domestically produced, eco-friendly biomass plastic. While its production costs are higher than those of inexpensive petroleum-based plastics, this item serves to highlight how new technologies can contribute to environmental consciousness.

The second collaboration in the jp BE@RBRICK series features "THE BEATLES," one of the most influential music groups of the 20th century. Their record label, Apple Corps, founded in 1968, is known for its iconic blue apple logo (Granny Smith apple), which is also familiar in Japan. Incidentally, the company name Apple Corps is a play on "Apple Core," and it was inspired by a painting by René Magritte titled "Le jeu de mourre (Au Revoir)," which Paul McCartney purchased at the time.

The ".jp BE@RBRICK THE BEATLES 400%" features the THE BEATLES logo on the front and the blue Apple label apple on the back. It's a unique item that carries a message connecting the raw material of .jp BE@RBRICK with apples.
