A Cat Lost in a World of Flood: The Beginning of an Unimaginable Adventure

As the world is engulfed by a great flood and cities teeter on the brink of disappearing, a lone cat decides to embark on a journey. Aboard a drifting boat, the cat encounters other animals. Together, they face unexpected dangers, forging bonds of friendship and growing stronger with each passing moment. Can they change their fate? And what lies at the end of this extraordinary adventure?

Directed by Gints Zilbalodis, a Latvian creator acclaimed for his feature debut 'Away,' the film 'Flow' is his second feature-length work. Zilbalodis also penned the script and composed the music, completing the film over five years. 'Flow' garnered significant accolades, including the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards and the Award for Best Independent Feature and Best Screenplay at the 52nd Annie Awards. It also made history as the first Latvian film to win the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature at the 97th Academy Awards.

Its release in Japan in March 2025 was met with widespread acclaim, its poetic narrative, conveyed solely through visuals and music without dialogue, deeply moving audiences.
