Hajime Sorayama, the godfather of realistic techniques using airbrushes. In his "Sexy Robot" series, which began in 1978, he expressed the beauty of the female form with a metallic finish, and also designed the album cover for the world-famous rock band Aerosmith's "Just Push Play" (2001). In 1999, he handled the concept design for Sony's entertainment robot "AIBO," winning the Good Design Award Grand Prize (Ministry of International Trade and Industry) and the Grand Prize at the Japan Media Arts Festival (Agency for Cultural Affairs). In recent years, he has continued to present new works energetically at exhibitions such as "Unorthodox" (New York, 2015), "Actresses Are Not Machines. But They Are Treated Like Machines." (Tokyo, 2016), and "The Art of Space" (Tokyo).

At "Complex Con 2018" held in LA last November, XLARGE® collaborated with Hajime Sorayama to unveil the XLARGE®×HAJIME SORAYAMA collection. This time, we introduce the 1000% GOLD BE@RBRICK, featuring the face of "ROBOT DOG," a graphic motif of a Doberman newly drawn by Sorayama for this collaboration.
