UNDERCOVER, founded in 1990 by Jun Takahashi, who still serves as designer, is a Japanese fashion brand that he started with friends while attending Bunka Fashion College. The brand made its debut at Tokyo Collection in 1994. It boasts a cult following for its original design aesthetic and participated in Paris Collection for the first time in 2002, becoming a globally recognized brand.

In addition to the "UNDERCOVER" lines for women and men, the brand launched its first secondary lines in 2013: "SueUNDERCOVER" for women and "JohnUNDERCOVER" for men.

The "GILAPPLE CLOCK" introduced here is based on "GRACE," a plush creature created by designer Jun Takahashi. It is a clock version of the "GILAPPLE," a lit apple that appears in the photobook "GRACE." Beyond serving as a motif for T-shirts, it has become an iconic UNDERCOVER item, released as a room light in collaboration with Medicom Toy. Following the red and black versions, the new color is a gold-plated gold version. Golden apples are often used as motifs in Greek mythology and are considered the source of immortality for the gods in Norse mythology.
