Jackson Pollock, a leading figure in American modern art. In his early career, he was deeply influenced by Native American sand paintings and Mexican murals, absorbing European modern art movements like Cubism and Surrealism. Then, in 1947, Pollock pioneered a new frontier in painting with his "action painting" technique, which involved dripping and splattering liquid paint onto a canvas spread on the floor with wrist snaps and arm swings.

Pollock's works such as "Number 1A, 1948" (1948), housed in the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and "Wall Painting with Red Indian" (1950), in the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, are famous. In Japan, "Composition in Green, Black, and Yellow Ochre" (1951) can be viewed at the DIC Kawamura Memorial Museum of Art, and "Number 8, 1951 Black Drip" (1951) at The National Museum of Western Art.

For those who wish to learn more, we recommend the biographical film "Pollock" (2000). The story depicts the meeting between Pollock (Ed Harris) and the female painter Lee Krasner (Marcia Gay Harden) in 1941, when Pollock was 29, up to a tragic accident. The film is directed, produced by, and stars the acclaimed actor Ed Harris, known for "Apollo 13." A great admirer of Pollock, Harris spent over 10 years learning the action painting technique himself before undertaking this film. The creation process is meticulously recreated with impressive dexterity in the movie, so we encourage those interested to watch it.

The "BE@RBRICK Jackson Pollock Studio Ver.2.0" from MEDICOM TOY's Sync. × JACKSON POLLOCK STUDIO collaboration is a new model with a different pattern from previously released versions. The design, which incorporates the vibrant details of the colorful studio floor where the works were created, radiates a brilliance that seems to condense the essence of 20th-century modern art. During his lifetime, Pollock said, "Abstract art is best enjoyed like music." This BE@RBRICK should be savored in the same way.
