Utterly realistic and erotic

Illustrator Hajime Sorayama has captivated audiences with his impeccable technique and unique metallic color sense. His works are thoroughly realistic and erotic. His published collections include "Sexy Robot" (Genkosha), "Pin-up," "VENOM Hajime Sorayama Works" (Graphic-sha), "HYPER ILLUSTRATION 1.2" (Bijutsu Shuppan), "THE GYNOIDS," and "Gynoids / The Storage Box" (Éditions du Chêne), among many others. He is a master of pin-up art, a field in which Japan takes pride on the world stage.

Furthermore, he directed the image for Sony's entertainment robot "AIBO" (first generation), receiving the Grand Prize at the 1999 Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry Good Design Award. His work has been selected for the permanent collections of the Smithsonian Museum and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. He is also an ardent fan of Disney, and in 1992, at the request of Craig Yoe in New York, he created the illustration "FUTURE MICKEY" for "THE ART OF MICKEY MOUSE."

This time, "SEXY ROBOT," which depicts women with an erotic and metallic texture, appears as a BE@RBRICK 1000%. The original "SEXY ROBOT" is one of Sorayama's life's work series, and it gained attention in 2001 when it was used for the album jacket of American rock band Aerosmith's "Just Push Play."

The alluring sheen of the silver-hued body remains as potent as ever in its BE@RBRICK form. At 1000% scale, it is sure to make a statement as an interior piece.
