The Character to Watch in 2018

From "MAFEX," the action figure series that balances the perfect form with outstanding articulation, comes a hyper-dimensional heroine who's terrible at fighting but packed with comic book trivia: Gwenpool!

What if Gwen Stacy, a popular Marvel comic character and one of Spider-Man's heroines, became Deadpool (a superhero who speaks to the audience and possesses the ability to "break the fourth wall")? This playful concept sparked her popularity, leading to her own solo comic series. Gwenpool, who stumbled into the comic world by chance, uses her extensive trivia to see through the heroes' true identities and weaknesses. This often gets her into trouble.

The artwork, primarily handled by the Japanese illustrator unit Gurihiru, is also incredibly cute, and her popularity in fan art and cosplay is rapidly growing. Last October, the long-awaited Japanese translated edition was released (published by Village Books).

She goes wild against familiar characters like private detective Howard the Duck, the phantom thief Black Cat, and the master of combat Batroc! Although the comic will reach a temporary finale with issue #25, releasing in February, she's a character to watch in 2018 that not only comic fans but also those with keen information sense will find valuable to know.

The "MAFEX GWENPOOL" figure boasts full articulation throughout the body, and comes with numerous accessory parts seen in the comics, such as her distinctive backpack, swords, and smartphone.
